She floats! Even thought she wasn’t fast or strong, Princes was my favorite character choice. She could hover when you held down the jump button. Super Mario Bros 2 is one of my favorite NES releases. It’s different from the others because it was originally Doki Doki Panic and later married with the Mario franchise. Originally the creator, Koji Kondo, wanted to make an upward vertical platformer, but settled on a side-scroller because they thought just jumping up would be too boring. It’s funny because that’s exactly the directional premise of Bloom Shrooms. After learning this about Mario 2, I thought I’d pull more influences from the game. The gnome will be able to pick up and throw enemies and objects and of course the pixie will be able to float like the princess.

Snaps! Finished the animation for the attack on this critter. Tonight i’ll animate his death animation. I was thinking he gets hit and slowly falls off the edge to his death. I’ll also finish his acid attack and character controller in unity tonight.
